Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />032000-15 Concrete Reinforcement and Embedded <br />Assemblies <br />Installer Certification program. Submit for record certificate from ACI - <br />CRSI Adhesive Anchor Installation Certification Program for each certified <br />installer on this Project. <br />3.4 INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES AND EMBEDDED ITEMS <br />A.Install concrete accessories in accordance with manufacturer's published <br />instructions and Contract Documents. <br />1.Set and secure embedments, including embedded plates, bearing plates, <br />and anchor rods, per approved setting drawings and in such a manner to <br />prevent movement during placement of concrete and to allow removal of <br />formwork without damage. <br />2.Tolerances: Anchor rod and other embedded items placement tolerances <br />shall comply with AISC 303, “Code of Standard Practice”, Section 7.5. <br />3.Inspect locations to receive concrete accessories. <br />4.Immediately notify the Design Professionals in writing of conditions that <br />will adversely affect the Work or fail to meet Contract Document <br />requirements. <br />5.Do not place concrete until reinforcement, accessories and other built-in <br />items have been inspected and accepted by Owner’s Testing Agency. <br />B.Construction and Contraction (Control) Joints: <br />1.Construction and contraction (control) joints indicated on Drawings are <br />mandatory and must not be omitted. <br />a)Provide construction joints in accordance with ACI 318. <br />b)Roughen surface at construction joints as indicated on the <br />drawings. <br />c)Where specifically indicated on drawings, provide 1-1/2” (40mm) <br />deep key type construction joints at end of each placement for <br />slabs, beams, walls and footings. <br />i.Bevel forms for easy removal. <br />2.Provide waterstops in construction joints as indicated on the Contract <br />Documents in sizes to suit joint. <br />3.Install waterstops to form continuous diaphragm in each joint. <br />4.Support and protect exposed waterstops during progress of Work. <br />5.Field-fabricate joints in waterstops according to manufacturer’s printed <br />instructions. <br />C.Coordinate the installation of pipes, bolts, hangers, anchors, flashing and other <br />embedded items with the work of other trades. <br />3.5 CORRECTIVE MEASURES <br />A.Where the Contractor requests that the Design Professionals develop the <br />corrective actions or review corrective actions developed by others, the Design
