Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />033000-10 Cast-In-Place <br />Concrete <br />4.The response time for answering an RFI depends on the category in <br />which it is assigned. <br />a)Upon receipt by the SER, each RFI will be assigned to one of the <br />following categories: <br />i.No cost clarification <br />ii.Shown in Contract Documents <br />iii.Change to be issued in future document revision <br />iv.Previously answered <br />v.Information needs to be provided by others. <br />vi.Request for corrective field work <br />vii.Request for substitution <br />b)RFIs in the first five categories listed above will be turned around <br />by the SER on average of five (5) working days. <br />c)RFIs in the last two categories listed above will be immediately <br />rejected and must be submitted as submittals or requests for <br />substitution. <br />1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A.Comply with General Conditions and Division 1. <br />B.Storage: <br />1.Store materials in accordance with ACI 304R. <br />2.Store cement in weather-tight buildings, bins or silos that will exclude <br />moisture and contaminates. <br />3.Store admixtures to avoid contamination, evaporation, damage, and in <br />accordance with manufacturer's temperature and other <br />recommendations. <br />4.Keep packaged material in original containers with seals unbroken and <br />labels intact until time of use. <br />C.Handling: <br />1.Handle fine and coarse aggregates as separate ingredients. <br />2.Arrange aggregate stockpiles to avoid excessive segregation, and <br />prevent contamination with other materials or with other sizes of like <br />aggregates. <br />3.Do not use frozen or partially frozen aggregates. <br />4.Allow sand to drain until it has reached relatively uniform moisture content <br />before use. <br />5.Protect liquid admixtures from freezing and temperature changes that <br />would adversely affect characteristics, and in accordance with <br />manufacturer's recommendations.
