Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />033000-16 Cast-In-Place <br />Concrete <br />1.10 QUALITY CONTROL BY CONTRACTOR <br />A.The Contractor shall provide a program of quality control to ensure that the <br />minimum standards specified herein are attained. <br />B.The Owner's general review during construction and activities of the Owner’ <br />Testing Agency are undertaken to inform the Owner of performance by the <br />Contractor but shall in no way replace or augment the Contractor's quality control <br />program or relieve the Contractor of total responsibility f or quality control. <br />C.The Contractor shall immediately notify the Design Professionals of any <br />deficiencies in the work which are departures from the Contract Documents. The <br />Contractor shall propose corrective actions and their recommendations in writing <br />and submit them for review by the Design Professionals. After proposed <br />corrective action is accepted by the Design Professionals and Owner, the <br />Contractor shall correct the deficiency at no cost to the Owner. Where the <br />Contractor requests that the Design Professionals develop the corrective actions <br />or review corrective actions developed by others, the Design Professional shall <br />be compensated as outlined in the OBSERVATIONS AND CORRECTIONS BY <br />DESIGN PROFESSIONALS section of this Specification. <br />1.11 OBSERVATIONS AND CORRECTIONS BY DESIGN PROFESSIONALS <br />A.Observations: The Design Professionals will observe the construction for <br />general compliance with the provisions of the Contract Documents during various <br />phases of construction. <br />B.Corrections by Design Professionals: See Part 3 - CORRECTIVE MEASURES <br />section of this specification. <br />1.12 PERMITS AND WARRANTY <br />A.Permits: The Contractor shall apply for, procure, renew, maintain, and pay for all <br />permits required by City, State, or other governing authorities, necessary to <br />execute work under this Contract. Contractor shall furnish copies of all permits to <br />the Owner and Design Professionals. <br />B.Warranty: Comply with General Conditions, agreeing to repair or replace <br />specified materials or Work that has failed within the warranty period. Failures <br />include but are not limited to the following: <br />1.Oily, waxy or loose residue which may interfere with the bonding or <br />discoloration of various applied Architectural finish materials. <br />2.Discoloration of concrete surfaces scheduled to remain exposed as a <br />finish. <br />3.Areas which show surface failure or defects. <br />4.Areas which puddle water. <br />5.Areas which are not properly prepared to receive Architectural finish <br />materials. If necessary, the Contractor, at his own expense, shall have <br />the Owner’s Testing Agency perform appropriate tests for bond and <br />discoloration.
