Grace “Force 10,000 D” <br />c)Acceptable Product: Euclid Chemical Company “Eucon MSA” <br />d)Acceptable Product: BASF “MasterLife SF 100” <br />e)Acceptable Product: Sika Corporation “Sikacrete 950 DP” <br />4.The exact percentages used shall be based on successful test placement <br />on site. Resubmit mix design if percentages change based on test <br />placement. <br />5.The fly ash or natural pozzolan supplier shall have an effective quality <br />control program in place to guard against contamination of the fly ash and <br />assure compliance with Specifications. <br />6.Fly ash and GGBFS used shall be from one source throughout the <br />project. Substitution of sources will be acceptable only if testing of <br />concrete mixes containing the substituted material show similar test <br />results and if the color of concrete produced with the substituted material <br />matches the color of previously poured concrete to the satisfaction of the <br />Architect. <br />E.Ready Mixed Concrete: <br />1.Shall be batch-mixed and transported in accordance with ASTM C 94. <br />2.2 CONCRETE MIX DESIGN <br />A.Concrete Strength: <br />1.Shall be as indicated on the Structural Drawings <br />B.Concrete Density (Unit Weight): <br />1.Shall be as indicated on the Structural Drawings <br />C.Air Entrainment <br />1.For concrete exposed to freeze/thaw cycles and/or deicing chemicals <br />(Exposure Classes F1, F2, F3), and concrete intended to be watertight, <br />provide entrained air content of 6% ± 1.5%, unless specified otherwise. <br />This includes, but is not limited to, concrete at the following locations: <br />a)Concrete at the exterior of the structure with at least one surface <br />exposed to weather, such as exterior face of grade beams, <br />foundation walls, exterior walls and parapets, exposed columns <br />and edge beams. <br />b)Concrete in parking garages. <br />c)Ramps and loading docks. <br />d)Balconies and terraces with no waterproof membrane.
