Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />033000-36 Cast-In-Place <br />Concrete <br />a)The specified overall area shall be each individual floor. <br />b)FF/FL shall be measured in accordance with ASTM E 1155. <br />c)The specified minimum local values of MLFF/MLFL shall be 3/5 of <br />the SOFF/SOFL values listed below. <br />d)If an individual test section measures less than either of the <br />specified minimum local MLFF/ MLFL numbers, that section may <br />be rejected and remedial measures may be required as specified <br />in CONCRETE SURFACE REPAIRS. <br />e)If the composite value of the test surface measures less than <br />either of the specified overall SOFF/SOFL numbers, then the <br />entire slab may be rejected and remedial measures may be <br />required. <br />f)FL numbers shall not apply to unshored slabs or shored slabs with <br />camber. <br />B.Finish for monolithic slab surfaces to receive concrete floor topping or mortar <br />setting beds for tile and other bonded applied cementitious finish flooring <br />material, as indicated on architectural Drawings: <br />1.Scratch Finish. <br />a)Finish surface to overall value of SOFF=20 and SOFL=15. <br />b)Slope surfaces uniformly to drains where required. <br />c)After leveling, roughen surface before final set with stiff brushes, <br />brooms, or rakes. <br />C.Finish for monolithic slab surfaces to be covered with membrane or elastic <br />waterproofing, membrane or elastic roofing, sand-bed terrazzo as indicated on <br />architectural Drawings: <br />1.Float Finish. <br />a)After screeding, consolidating, and leveling concrete slabs, do not <br />work surface until ready for floating. <br />b)Begin floating, using float blades or float shoes only, when surface <br />water has disappeared, or when concrete has stiffened sufficiently <br />to permit operation of power-driven floats, or both. <br />c)Consolidate surface with power-driven floats or by hand-floating if <br />area is small or inaccessible to power units. <br />d)Finish surfaces to overall value of SOFF=20 and SOFL=15. <br />e)Cut down high spots and fill low spots. <br />f)Uniformly slope surfaces to drains. <br />g)Immediately after leveling, refloat surface to a uniform, smooth, <br />granular texture. <br />D.Finishes for Pedestrian Sidewalks and Ramps, Exterior Platforms, Steps, as <br />indicated on architectural Drawings: <br />1.Sidewalks and Curbs: Light-to-medium broom finish applied with fiber- <br />bristle broom perpendicular to direction of main traffic route immediately <br />after float finishing.
