Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />033000-39 Cast-In-Place <br />Concrete <br />2.Surface is an as-cast concrete surface obtained with selected form-facing <br />material, arranged in an orderly and symmetrical manner with a minimum <br />of seams. <br />3.Repair and patch tie holes and defects. Remove fins and other <br />projections completely. <br />L.Smooth Rubbed Finish: <br />1."Smooth Rubbed" finish shall consist of a finish free of fins, joint marks <br />smoothed off, blemishes removed and surfaces left smooth and <br />unmarred. <br />2.Provide smooth rubbed finish to scheduled concrete surfaces, as <br />indicated on architectural Drawings, which have received smooth form <br />finish treatment not later than one day after form removal. <br />3.Moisten concrete surfaces and rub with carborundum brick or other <br />abrasive until a uniform color and texture is produced. <br />a)Do not apply cement grout other than that created by the rubbing <br />process. <br />M.Grout-Cleaned Finish: <br />1.Provide grout-cleaned finish on scheduled concrete surfaces, as indicated <br />on architectural Drawings, that have received smooth-formed finish <br />treatment. <br />2.Combine one part Portland Cement to one and one-half parts fine sand <br />by volume, and a 50:50 mixture of acrylic or styrene butadiene-based <br />bonding admixture and water to form the consistency of thick paint. <br />3.Blend standard Portland Cement and white Portland Cement in amounts <br />determined by trial patches so that final color of dry grout will match <br />adjacent surfaces. <br />4.Thoroughly wet concrete surfaces, apply grout to coat surfaces, and fill <br />small holes. <br />5.Remove excess grout by scraping and rubbing with clean burlap. <br />6.Keep surface damp by fog spray for at least 36 hours after rubbing. <br />N.Unformed Surfaces: <br />1.At tops of walls, horizontal offsets, and similar unformed surfaces <br />adjacent to formed surfaces, strike-off smooth and finish with a texture <br />matching adjacent formed surfaces. <br />2.Continue final surface treatment of formed surfaces uniformly across <br />adjacent unformed surfaces, unless otherwise indicated. <br />3.6 CURING AND PROTECTION <br />A.Normal Conditions: <br />1.Protect concrete from premature drying, excessive hot or cold <br />temperature, and damage.
