Prepare substrates indicated to receive tackable wall covering as required by <br />manufacturer's written instructions to achieve a smooth, dry, clean, structurall y <br />sound surface that is uniform in color. <br />1. Moisture Content: Maximum of 4 percent when tested with an electronic <br />moisture meter. <br />2. Gypsum Board: Prime with primer as recommended in writing by <br />primer/sealer manufacturer and wall-covering manufacturer. <br />3. Painted Surfaces: Treat areas susceptible to pigment bleeding. <br />3.3 INSTALLATION <br />A. Tackable Wall Covering: Comply with tackable wall-covering manufacturers' written <br />installation instructions for installation of wall covering and trim. <br />3.4 CLEANING AND PROTECTION <br />A. Remove excess adhesive at finished seams, perimeter edges, and adjacent <br />surfaces. <br />B. Clean tackable wall covering in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions. <br />Attach one removable cleaning instructions label to tackable wall covering in each <br />room. <br />C. Reinstall hardware and hardware accessories, electrical plates and covers, light <br />fixture trims, and similar items. <br />END OF SECTION
