Make alterations so they <br />are not noticeable after panel installation. <br />F. Doors and Frames: Install door-and-frame and glazing-and-glazing-frame assemblies <br />securely anchored to partitions and with doors aligned and fitted. Install and adjust <br />door hardware for proper operation. <br />3.4 ERECTION TOLERANCES <br />A. Install each demountable partition so surfaces vary not more than 1/8 inch (3 mm) <br />from the plane formed by the faces of adjacent partitions. <br />3.5 ADJUSTING <br />A. Inspect installation, correct misalignments, and tighten loose connections. <br />B. Adjust doors to operate smoothly and easily, without binding or warping. <br />C. Check and readjust operating hardware. Verify that latches and locks engage <br />accurately and securely without forcing or binding; lubricate as recommended by <br />manufacturer. <br />D. Clean soiled surfaces to remove dirt, fingerprints, adhesives, and other foreign <br />materials according to manufacturer's written instructions. <br />E. Remove and replace defaced or damaged components that cannot be satisfactorily <br />repaired. <br />F. Remove and replace components that are wet, moisture damaged, or mold damaged. <br />3.6 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect installed products and finish surfaces from damage until completion of project. <br />B. Touch-up, repair, or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion. <br />3.7 CLEANING <br />A. After installation and adjusting, clean metal and glass surfaces to remove dust, loose <br />fibers, fingerprints, adhesives, and other foreign materials. <br />3.8 DEMONSTRATION <br />A. Engage a factory-authorized service representative to train Owner's maintenance <br />personnel to adjust, operate, and maintain demountable partitions when using a new <br />installer not yet certified by the manufacturer. When engaging installers without <br />supervision provided by the manufacturer, the installers must be certified by the <br />manufacturer.
