Any omissions of inherent technical functions or classes of work:withyi ` the specifications and/or statement of work shall not relieve the Bidder from furnishing, installing, or performing such work where required to the satisfactory completion of the project. Any errors or omissions in the Specifications or on the Plans, as to the standards of the work, shall not relieve the Contractor of the obligation to furnish a satisfactory first class job in strict conformity with the best practice found in structures or in the work of a similar type. The failure of the Bidder to direct the attention of the City's Project Manager to errors or discrepancies will not relieve the Bidder should Bidder be awarded the Contract, of the responsibility of performing the work to the satisfaction of the City. 2.30 MAJOR SUB-CONTRACTORS: The Bidder shall identify on the below questionnaire each major subcontractor it expects to engage for this Contract if the work to be subcontracted is 15% or more of the bid sum or over $50,000, whichever is less. The Bidder shall not change or replace a subcontractor without approval by the City. No subcontractor will under any circumstances relieve the Respondent of its liability and obligation under any resulting contract. Subcontractor is subject to the same contractual conditions as is the Respondent. O2.31 LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE SUPPLIED BY THE CONTRACTOR The Contractor shall furnish the following, including but not limited to, all labor, material, equipment, barricading, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) inclusive of any required off duty police officers, adequate supervision, and coordination for satisfactory contract performance. Any lane closures require a City permit prior. When not specifically identified in the technical specifications, such materials and equipment shall be of a suitable type and grade for the purpose and meeting or exceeding all permit or industry standard 'requirements. All material, workmanship, 100% design, testing and equipment shall be subject to the inspection and approval of the City Manager or his designated representative for this project. Bidder, by virtue of bidding, certifies that any material or equipment supplied will be 100% asbestos free. 2.32 SUBSTITUTE MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT Whenever materials or equipment are specified or described in the Contract Documents by using the name of a proprietary item or the name of a particular Supplier the naming of the item is intended to establish the type, function and quality required. Unless the name is followed by words indicating that no substitution is permitted, materials or equipment of other Suppliers may be accepted by Firm if sufficient information is submitted by Contractor to allow Firm to determine that the material or equipment proposed is equivalent or equal to that named. If Contractor wishes to furnish or use a substitute item of material or equipment, Contractor shall make written application to Firm for acceptance thereof, certifying that the proposed substitute will perform adequately the functions and achieve the results called for by the general design, be similar and of equal substance to that specified and be suited to the same use as that specified.The application must state that the evaluation and acceptance of the proposed substitute will not prejudice Contractor's achievement of Substantial Completion on time, whether or not acceptance of the substitute for use in the Work will require a change in any of the Contract Documents (or in the _.
