<br />JANITORIAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES | Bid No. 19-08-02 20 <br /> <br />receptacles and disinfect. Floors in these rooms shall be mopped with an approved disinfectant and <br />cleaner that will not harm or remove special floor finishes. Toilets and urinals shall be cleaned with <br />quality materials using techniques which will remove and prevent any formation of encrustations <br />or stains under lids, ledges or rims. Towel dispensers, soap dispensers and toilet paper <br />holders shall be checked and refilled daily. The use of highly scented disinfectants, <br />objectionable or odoriferous cleaners shall not be permitted. <br /> <br />All supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary napkins, liquid soap, foam <br />soap, trash bag liners, wax liners and hand and power equipment including vacuum <br />cleaners and pressure washers shall be provided by the Bidder. These items shall be <br />kept in the supply closets for each restroom and shall be fully stocked at all times. <br /> <br />B. OFFICE AREA <br /> <br />General cleaning of office areas shall include the removal of trash and other waste materials, <br />separating recycling as appropriate, dusting, glass cleaning, sanitizing phones, removal of dust, <br />soil, stains, smudges and marks from furniture, walls, partitions, chairs, etc. <br /> <br />C. FLOOR CARE <br /> <br />I. Upon completion of daily and weekly routine work, floors shall be free of dirt, dust, <br />film streaks, and debris, and shall be devoid of such when dry. <br /> <br />II. Floor finish is understood to be used as a preservative and also as a safety (non- <br />slip) factor. Finish shall be applied only to appropriate areas free of residual dirt <br />and buildup. <br /> <br />III. Carpet shall be vacuumed thoroughly and shall be free of dirt, dust, lint and debris. <br /> <br />IV. Vacuum cleaners should meet all standards set forth in the Carpet & Rug Institutes <br />green label program. Vacuums shall have High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) <br />filtration capabilities for filtering airborne particles <br /> <br />V. The Bidder shall remove and replace furniture as required to perform the work, <br />exercising necessary safety precautions designed to prevent damage to City <br />property. <br /> <br />VI. The Contractor shall verify that all floor finishes, seals, spray buff solutions and <br />other such chemicals applied to non-carpeted floors provide adequate protection <br />against slippery floors. Any observed instances of slippery or slick floors shall be <br />corrected immediately upon discovery of Caution signs are to be used until <br />conditions are corrected. Contractor shall use caution signs as required by OSHA <br />Regulation 1910.144 and 1910.145 at no cost to the City shall be on-site on <br />commencement of Contract. A minimum of two caution signs per building shall be <br />onsite. <br />
