JOliva trains our janitors <br />on the proper technique to clean a restroom. We explain to our staff that using one <br />cleaning rag per fixture, and cleaning from top to bottom of the toilet or urinal <br />prevents soiled rags redistributing germs on the next commode. Sinks are cleaned <br />with attention to detail around the faucet and drain. Mirrors are polished, and walls <br />and partitions are kept free of dust and fingerprints. <br />On an annual basis, JOliva holds recurring training for our employees. These <br />training sessions cover various areas of work, and give the employee the first step in <br />progressing through the ranks. Topics include: <br /> Customer Service Skills <br /> Specialized training for certifications <br /> Communication Skills <br /> Supervisor Development Training <br /> Safety Issues (Hazard detection, Ergonomics, accident investigation <br />procedures) <br /> Interdisciplinary Training in job-specific topics (Floor waxing/buffing, machine <br />cleaning, Green Cleaning) <br />We support our commitment to employee growth by performing annual staff reviews. <br />The purpose of this review is to determine any changes (if needed) can be made to <br />improve an employee’s work method. These reviews are done prior to annual training <br />to cover any remedial training. At that time, we will determine if the employee’s <br />compensation package is sufficient for their performance. <br />CHEMICAL, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY <br />It is JOliva Enterprises Safety Policy that its staff and users of the facility being <br />cleaned must be protected against hazardous chemicals and unsafe work practices. <br />(Further information can be found in our company Health and Safety Policy). <br /> Any hazard signage shall be clear and concise and written in an easily <br />understood manner.
