Paul T.Abbott, Project Manager , <br /> • <br /> DATE: 10/17/2019 .. . <br /> Approving Change Order Nos.24 and 25 the the . . <br /> RE: Agreement with ROHL Global Networks, LP for the <br /> Utility Undergrounding Project -' . <br /> 5 RECOMMENDATION: : <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission approve this proposed <br /> resolution in support of increasing 'spending authority to Rohl Global <br /> Networks LP (ROHL) referenced in tWo change orders for work <br /> necessary to complete the Collins Avenue Utility Undergrounding and <br /> Decorative Street Light Project. <br /> REASONS: <br /> 1. Change Order #24 reduces the ROHL contract amount by <br /> ($31,458.00) for SIB direct purchase of material resulting in sales tax <br /> savings to the project. <br /> 2. Change Order #25 increases the ROHL contract amount by <br /> $982,615.00 which includes the following: <br /> I • a. The original ROHL bid proposal included a unit price for three (3) <br /> spread footings for decorative street lighting. To date, twenty three (23) <br /> locations where unforeseen obstructions preclude the installation of <br /> standard precast bases, have been encountered. The obstructions will <br /> O require the utilization of spread footings. Due to the increased number <br /> of spread footings a revised lower unit cost has been negotiated with <br /> the contractor based on the increased quantity of foundations and <br /> 185 <br />
