From the very beginning of the project, <br />an open and collaborative planning process will enable the <br />team to creatively work in partnership with the public and <br />regional and local agencies to help identify and address the <br />area’s needs and any potential complications and conflicts <br />early in the design process. The Project Team will evaluate <br />and propose viable design alternatives for the proposed <br />pedestrian bridge concept. <br />Task 2: Design Development and 30% Plans <br />An integrated approach of engineering and architectural <br />concepts will ensure that overall, the project will successfully <br />balance the function of the proposed pedestrian bridge park <br />and the area needs of the community. Based on the selection <br />of a Preferred Alternative, the Project Team will develop a <br />preliminary project design that will provide safe pedestrian <br />and bicycle access over Collins Avenue at 174th Street. In this <br />task the EAC Project Team will submit a complete set of 30% <br />plans to the City of Sunny Isles Beach staff for review and <br />comment. The 30% submittal will include: <br /> •30% Design Calculations <br /> •30% Design Plans - that include the Bridge Park Layout <br />and Geometry <br /> •30% Technical Specifications <br /> •30% Estimate of Probable Cost <br /> •30% Construction Schedule <br />The EAC Project Team will meet with the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach staff and discuss the 30% submittal review comments <br />for further design development to be incorporated in the 60% <br />design phase. <br />Task 3: Design Development and 60% Plans <br />Based on the 30% review comments and direction from the <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, the EAC Project Team will further <br />develop the project design. In this task the EAC Project Team <br />will prepare a 60% submittal that includes: <br /> •60% Design Calculations <br /> •60% Design Plans - that include all bridge design <br />detailing including proposed bridge foundations and park <br />landscaping details <br /> •60% Refined Technical Specifications <br /> •60% Refined Estimate of Probable Cost <br /> •60% Refined Construction Schedule <br />The EAC Project Team will meet with the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach staff and discuss the 60% review comments for further <br />design development to be incorporated in 100% design phase. <br />Task 4: Design Development and 100% Plans <br />Based on the 60% review comments and direction from the <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, the EAC Project Team will finalize <br />the project design. In this phase, the EAC Project Team will <br />prepare a 100% submittal that includes: <br /> •100% Design Calculations <br /> •100% Design Plans <br /> •100% Technical Specifications <br /> •100% Estimate of Probable Cost <br /> •100% Construction Schedule <br />Afterward, the Project Team will meet with the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach staff and discuss the 100% review comments for <br />final construction plans. <br />Task 5: Permitting Phase <br />The EAC Project Team will prepare all necessary permit <br />application packages to be provided to all applicable and <br />regulating agencies. The EAC Project Team will also meet with <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach and address any comments <br />needed to obtain approvals from the reviewing agencies. The <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach will be responsible for all permit <br />application fees. <br />Task 6: 100% Construction Plans and Bidding Documents <br />The EAC Project Team will finalize all construction plans and <br />issue signed and sealed plan sets for the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach records. The EAC Project Team will assist the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach in preparing close-out bidding documents. <br />The following close-out bidding documents will be provided: <br /> •Bid Tabs for Contractor bid tabulation <br /> •Approved 100% Technical Specifications <br /> •Approved 100% Signed and Sealed plans <br /> •Approved 100% Design Calculations <br />Task 7: Construction Management Services <br />The EAC Project Team will assist the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />with Construction Management Services upon request.
