(1) TITLE AND LOCA TION (City and State ) PD&E Study for Venetian Causeway – FDOT District 6 YEARS COMPLETED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2014- Present (5 years) CONSTRUCTION NA (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief Scope, Size, Cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [X] Check if project performed with current firm The project requirements include the inspection of the bridges, engineering reports, environmental documents, a Section 4(f) document and preliminary plans. Assistant Project Manager and Structural Engineer responsible for conceptual Structural Analysis and desig n of the ten low- level fixed span bridges, preparation of Preliminary Engineering Report study documents, public involvement workshops and activities, and coordination with sub-consultants and agenc ies. The V enetian Causeway bridges (ten low-level fix ed sp ans and two movable bascules) from North Bayshore Drive in Miami to Purdy Avenue in Miami Beach were originally built in 1926 and have been designated as historic landmarks by the City of Miami and City of Miami Beach; they are also listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Extensive public involvement efforts are being done as part of this study. The PD&E study will look at alternatives that satisfy the public; protect the environment; are sensitive to the historic designation; result in bridges that are safe, maintainable and serve the needs of the public. b. (1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State ) Additional Elevators and Overhaul at the Dadeland North Metrorail Station Parking Garage - DTPW, Miami-Dade Transit YEARS COMPLETED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2016 CONSTRUCTION NA (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (B rief Scope, Si ze, Cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ ] Chec k if project performed with current firm Lead Engineer Project consisted of the Design-Build RFP Development. Responsible for project management tasks, structural inspection, preparation of construction documents and specifications, cost estimating, and engineering support services. The Design-Build RFP development included Design and Construction Requirements, Construction Technical Specifications, and Conceptual Design Plans for the new elevator tower on the northern end of the existing parking garage, a new prefabricated Bus Operator Supervisor’s booth, a new canopy along the eastern side of the existing parking garage; modernization of existing elevators; and the overhaul and renewal of the existing parking. The project included extensive coordination with Miami-Dade Transit and DTPW facilities to meet all design and construction requirements. c. (1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State ) NW South River Drive Bridge over Tamiami River Canal - Miami-Dade County YEARS COMPLETED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2010 – 2014 (4 years) CONSTRUCTION 2014 - 2019 (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief Scope, Size, Cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ ] Check if project performed with current firm Preliminary Study and Final Design of a 123-foot simple trunnion single leaf through-girder bascule span bridge to replace the Tamiami Canal Histo rical Swing Bridge constructed in 1921. The project includes providing a 4 lane wide bridge with 6 foot and 12 foot shared sidewalks and control house within a 50 foot limited right-of-way and low bridge profile which resulted in the need to use through-ba scule girders. The floor system consists of floor beams and an exodermic bridge deck with no steel stringers and lateral bracing. Architectural features to the bridge and control house are also included in the detail design. Structural Engineer responsible for the design of the single leaf bascule span bridge steel plate bascule floor-beams, design and detailing of the rest pier which includes pile, wall design, design and detail of seawall, quantities and cost estimate of finished project. d. (1) TITLE AND LOCA TION (City and State) Flagler Memorial Bridge SR A1A over ICWW - FDOT District 4 YEARS COMPLETED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2011-2014 CONSTRUCTION 2018 (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief Scope, Size, Cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ ] Check if project performed with current firm $95 million Design/Build contract to replace twin double leaf bascule span bridge with a 150’ rolling lift span over the navigable channel, 12- 150 foot pre-stressed concrete approach spans and approach roadway work. Project maintains traffic on existing bridge during construction of the new bridge. Structural Engineer responsible for approach substructure design (bascule pier walls, columns and beams) and abutment design including concrete monument support structure on drilled shaft foundations. Structural Engineer responsible for LRFR bridge load ratings for cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. e.
