The design incorporated elements such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) concepts. The <br />proposed park facilities include recreational fields for various sporting activities, outdoor pools, playgrounds, basketball courts and on-site <br />parking facilities. A new state of the art recreational community center was proposed that houses a day care facility, ceramics studio, <br />gymnasium, and other essential programs. In addition, several green initiatives were proposed to promote water and energy conservation <br />practices. The construction cost for this project was estimated at $8,500,000. The scope of work included the widening of an existing two lane roadway (0.75 miles). One of the lift stations was a complete replacement design for an existing <br />station and the other two were new lift stations that are being added to their network. The project has an estimated construction cost of <br />approximately $1.3 Million. The goal of the project was to allow residential and commercial properties to disconnect from their septic tanks and connect to sewer treatment systems thereby reducing environmental impacts. <br />P-43
