BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (include scope, size, and cost) Lying on the north bank of the Miami River, the River Landing project is a large mixed-use project with big box retail, neighborhood ground level stores, and condominiums in two high-rise towers. The landscape design concept is to create a linear riverside park, which meanders along the river through a landscape of native trees and palms, raised seating and café terraces, all oriented to focus on the river itself. Still a working river, the landscape materials will reflect the maritime/industrial vocabulary of the bridges, ships and shipyards along its banks. A large amphitheater is designed on the east side of the project as a neighborhood park and performance venue.
