We currently produce magazines(city and regional magazines,short run,etc.) for 20+ publishers.The work required in this RFP fits into our current capabilities very well.The current account manager for the Sunny Isles Beach work,Osi Rubal,handles the magazine production work we do for the Walt Disney Company.This work is extremely high quality work.Osi understands how to manage production for our largest and most demanding clients.The staff includes: i. Janet Arteaga, Plant Manager,30+years in printing v. Segundo Lopez, Pressroom Manager,30+years of press experience vi. Chris Seruga,COO,32+years in printing(Contracts,etc.) vii. Helena De la Torre,Corporate Controller 20+years at Colonial Press(invoicing) 4. Approach/Methodology- a. Koday Prinergy/Insite workflow with Colorflow Pro. Prinergy is the most widely used prepress workflow worldwide.The PDF based workflow will Preflight and process files uploaded through Insite and report all file warnings and information via client selective actions in lnsite.These preflight,refine and color management processes are fully customizable per client if necessary. Client Review, Review OK and Final Approval is useful for clients with multiple individuals who must be part of the approval process b. Being a commercial plant, production planning/scheduling is a very large piece of how we manage our available capacity.The planning process depends on what a project entails.An example is if it is a press product then no bindery is involved. If the project involves bindery,we would need to incorporate time for possible folding,stitching,or perfect binding. We currently use yearly and monthly calendars to input projects that have frequency or projects that are one shot in frequency. Having a wide format,high speed Goss Sunday 3000 press allows for us to look at capacity and work load from a different point of view than most printers.The flexibility to move projects between the Goss Sunday press and either of the other two Man Roland presses allows for us to offer maximum flexibility to our clients. Projects sometimes come in late or have the need for changes.These delays can be frustrating if the print vendor does not offer a balance of options to meet ever changing needs. 0
