WHEREAS, on June 25, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7) days,until July 1,2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 2, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7)days, until July 8,2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 9, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7)days,until July 15, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 16, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7)days, until July 22, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 23, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7) days,until July 29, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 30, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7)days,until August 5, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS,on August 6, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7) days,until August 12,2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS,on August 13,2020,the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7)days, until August 19, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS,on August 20,2020,the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7) days,until August 26, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS,on August 27, 2020,the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an
<br /> additional seven(7)days,until September 2,2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, the City Manager has determined that a condition of extreme peril of
<br /> public health and welfare continues to exist,thereby necessitating the continued state of emergency.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE,TT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> 1. An emergency continues to exist throughout the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and
<br /> 2. The declared state of Local Emergency is hereby extended for an additional seven (7) days, until
<br /> September 9,2020.
<br /> IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that during the continued existence of said emergency the powers,
<br /> functions,and duties of the City Manager/designee of the City of Sunny Isles Beach be those prescribed by State
<br /> law and the ordinances,resolutions,and approved plans of the City of Sunny Isles Beach in order to mitigate the
<br /> effects of said emergency.
