SVyNY r�E 04 E EMERGENCY ORDER 03 AND SUPPLEMENT TO Y Or]UM rM DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY OCCUPIED MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020 the City Manager declared a Local Emergency as a result of COVID-19; and WHEREAS, on March 19, 2020 the City Manager extended the declared state of Local Emergency for an additional seven(7) days; and WHEREAS, on March 26, 2020 the City Manager again extended the declared state of Local Emergency for an additional seven (7) days; and WHEREAS, on April 2, 2020, the City Manager again extended the declared state of Local Emergency for an additional seven(7) days; and WHEREAS, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 20-89 ordering Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties to restrict public access to businesses and facilities deemed non-essential, and adopted a list of essential services set forth in Miami-Dade County Emergency Order No. 07-20; and WHEREAS, the list contained in Miami-Dade County Emergency Order No. 07-20 included contractors and tradesmen, appliance repair personnel, exterminators, and other service providers ("Service Providers") who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences and businesses; and WHEREAS, this Emergency Order is necessary because of repeated reports of Service Providers providing services that are not necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation and essential operation of residences, and especially occupied multi-family residential buildings; and WHEREAS, in order to ensure that only those services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation and essential operation of occupied multi-family residential buildings, and to ensure that non-essential services are not being provided in those buildings, this Emergency Order is necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: 1. The only essential construction activities that are permitted to be made in occupied multi-family residential buildings within the City of Sunny Isles Beach are as follows: A. Repairs or replacement of air conditioning systems, water heaters, malfunctioning plumbing or malfunctioning electrical systems; B. Structural work that is part of the 40-year recertification that cannot be halted due to life safety matters;
