SVyNY r�E <br /> 04 E <br /> EMERGENCY ORDER 03 AND SUPPLEMENT TO <br /> Y Or]UM rM <br /> DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY <br /> OCCUPIED MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION <br /> WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020 the City Manager declared a Local Emergency as a result of <br /> COVID-19; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 19, 2020 the City Manager extended the declared state of Local <br /> Emergency for an additional seven(7) days; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 26, 2020 the City Manager again extended the declared state of Local <br /> Emergency for an additional seven (7) days; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 2, 2020, the City Manager again extended the declared state of Local <br /> Emergency for an additional seven(7) days; and <br /> WHEREAS, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 20-89 ordering Miami-Dade, <br /> Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties to restrict public access to businesses and facilities <br /> deemed non-essential, and adopted a list of essential services set forth in Miami-Dade County <br /> Emergency Order No. 07-20; and <br /> WHEREAS, the list contained in Miami-Dade County Emergency Order No. 07-20 included <br /> contractors and tradesmen, appliance repair personnel, exterminators, and other service providers <br /> ("Service Providers") who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and <br /> essential operation of residences and businesses; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Emergency Order is necessary because of repeated reports of Service <br /> Providers providing services that are not necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation and essential <br /> operation of residences, and especially occupied multi-family residential buildings; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to ensure that only those services that are necessary to maintaining the <br /> safety, sanitation and essential operation of occupied multi-family residential buildings, and to ensure <br /> that non-essential services are not being provided in those buildings, this Emergency Order is <br /> necessary. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The only essential construction activities that are permitted to be made in occupied <br /> multi-family residential buildings within the City of Sunny Isles Beach are as follows: <br /> A. Repairs or replacement of air conditioning systems, water heaters, malfunctioning <br /> plumbing or malfunctioning electrical systems; <br /> B. Structural work that is part of the 40-year recertification that cannot be halted due to <br /> life safety matters; <br />
