BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The Annex Project, located immediately to the north, extends the Civic Plaza <br />and develops a mixed-use program including Educational, Office, Community <br />Auditorium, Retail and Civic Expansion spaces with structured parking in both <br />below-grade and above grade locations. The linear site runsbetween Atlantic <br />Avenue and Collins Avenue placing the Educational uses toward the West relating <br />to the existing School and the Office and Civic uses toward Collins Avenue on the <br />East. The open courtyard school for 600 students, is a low-rise structure affording <br />natural light along all circulation edges of the classrooms. <br />The Office and Civic Tower floats above the Collins Avenue-facing Plaza and with <br />a glass curtainwall and aluminum sunscreen skin recognizing both the oceanfront <br />views and mitigating the solar impact. The façade materials relate back to the <br />existing Government Center and include architectural precast concrete, stone <br />veneer panels, aluminum sunscreens and a finely-detailed curtainwall skin.
