BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach had recently inaugurated Gateway Park, an urban <br />green public space offering year-round cultural, entertainment, fitness events, as <br />well as passive recreation to the community. The ground floor of the parking garage <br />structure, intended for restaurants tenant, remained unleased after two years. P+W <br />has re-envisioned and re-programmed the floor as a multipurpose community <br />space. Addressing the community’s multi-generational and multi-cultural needs, <br />Gateway Center’s diverse programming will activate 16,000 SF of social gathering <br />spaces to include classrooms, fitness rooms, café, retail store, demonstration kitchen, <br />pre-function area and banquette hall. <br />As a community center during day, and special events space during the evening, <br />the City Commissioner’s goal is to offer an affordable yet high quality alternative <br />to the nearby Yacht Club and local Hotels for social interactions and to mark <br />life’s celebrations.
