BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Environmental Assessment/Inspection Report/GIS Maps: ECS Group conducted a field visit to ascertain the absence or <br />presence seagrasses within the project area. The environmental scientist conducted underwater investigations and <br />documented the locations, types and percent cover of seagrass. The biologist swam parallel to the seawall; and also <br />conducted transects perpendicular to the seawall and meandered between transects. Staff assisted topside by carrying <br />equipment, providing a safety lookout, and helping with notes and structure measurements. During the investigation, any <br />wildlife or other benthic resources observed were also noted. In addition, all existing structures were documented and <br />measured as necessary. A report was prepared which included narrative text, graphics, a GIS map of seagrass <br />locations and permitting requirements.
