Qualification Information and Assigned Personnel <br /> <br />The principal of ECS Group FL, LLC (ECS Group), Marisa Magrino, moved to Florida in 2002 to attend graduate <br />school for Marine Biology at Nova Southeastern University and pursue an environmental career. Interests in water <br />environments and related wildlife started in Arizona, while working for AZ Game and Fish on a stream and riparian <br />project in the White Mountains. Ms. Magrino’s career continued to flourish in Florida starting as a Biological Assistant <br />for Miami-Dade County DERM, Restoration and Enhancement Section then working in permitting for the County’s <br />Coastal Resources Section. The principal’s longest position was as a Natural Resource Specialist for Broward <br />County for 9.5 years, where her career expanded into wetlands and regulation. After working as a government <br />employee for 11.5 years, Ms. Magrino started working for an engineering firm to gain experience as a consultant and <br />continue to work in coastal and wetland areas. While at this firm, her certified arborist and landscape inspector skills <br />were enhanced. ECS Group formed in 2019 as a woman-owned small business to continue conducting <br />environmental work and addressing environmental concerns throughout Florida. <br /> <br />ECS Group is comprised of the principal, Marisa Magrino, as well as an engineer and a biologist, which assist in <br />design/administration and fieldwork respectively. ECS group has staff that lives in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties <br />and all staff has local permitting experience. ECS Group is financially stable completing projects on schedule and <br />within budget. ECS Group is willing and able to expand as necessary for current and future work. <br /> <br />The Philosophy of ECS Group - With extensive experience of Florida ecosystems, ECS Group can provide an <br />array of environmental services and innovative solutions to their clients. Our focus is to create a customized action <br />plan for each client to ensure meeting our client's needs in a timely manner. <br /> <br />Trainings/Awards/Memberships <br />As a relatively new firm, ECS Group is continuously seeking new opportunities and certifications. For instance, Ms. <br />Magrino recently completed the Gopher Tortoise Authorized Agent Training (now a Certified GTA) and is a member <br />of the International Society of Arboriculture. Previous trainings include Supervisory/Leadership Training, Scientific <br />Diving Training (AAUS), GIS Trainings, and Wetland Delineation and Species ID Training. Additional certifications will <br />be sought after later this year as well as attending seminars for continuing education units. <br /> <br />For recent accomplishments, Ms. Magrino was part of the team with the previous firm that led the first SWAT project <br />(SR-714) for FDOT. SWAT stands for Statewide Acceleration Transformation; and its goal is to link the different <br />phases together (planning, project development and environment, and design) in order to expedite pre-construction <br />activities and reduce redundancy. <br /> <br />Mr. Tachiev has 40 peer review publications in Water Resources, Hydrology, Remediation and Computer Science; is <br />part of EWRE chapter of ASCE, Miami; and has completed Project Management Training and Princeton Remediation <br />Course. <br /> <br />At this time, ECS Group has not received any unique awards.
