First, there must
be a commitment by management to provide the environment,
encouragement and support needed to attain excellence in
safety performance. Management must provide the tools
necessary to implement the program. Such tools include
definitions of responsibilities, inspection of job sites, jobsite
meetings, safety rules, safety training, job safety planning,
and accident investigation.
Employees’ and subconsultants’ commitment to our safety
goals is important if the safety program is to succeed.
Employees with outstanding safety records are recognized
and rewarded.
Formal safety seminars for all supervisory personnel are
conducted quarterly. Safety training for employees is
accomplished through weekly jobsite safety meetings for field
or construction projects.
Should a conflict of safety practices or procedures arise
between the client’s rules and CES’s rules, the more stringent
policy shall apply.
SAFETY & LOSS PREVENTION MANAGEMENT
POLICY STATEMENT
Of CES’s many concerns, none are
more important than the safety of our
employees. The prevention of injury
is therefore a primary management
responsibility, which must be
accepted by each supervisor and
every employee throughout the
CES organization.
Our objective as a company
must be the total elimination
of injuries and losses. It is a challenging
objective toward which we must all strive. There is no doubt
that working safe has great personal and professional value
and enhances employee morale and client trust.
The management of CES is committed to implementing an
effective Safety Management Program to achieve these goals.
The program consists of formal training for management and
supervisory personnel, key project staff, and construction
managers to the foreman level. Weekly on-the-job safety
meetings are held in order to provide training and safety
instruction to all employees on the jobsite. All employees
must be committed to our safety program if it is to be
effective. Individuals with outstanding safety records will be
recognized and rewarded for their efforts. We will provide
the environment, encouragement and support necessary to
achieve excellence in safety performance so that CES’s safety
record will be a standard by which others will be measured.

HEALTH & S
A
F
E
T
Y

P
L
A
N

January 2
0
1
9
