E-7Proven solutionsResponsive and dependable performance
City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 20-07-01: Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA)
COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures
CES Consultants is focused on and committed to maintaining
a safe and healthy environment for all staff, clients and the
community. With the spread of the coronavirus or “COVID-19,”
a respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, we
must remain vigilant in mitigating the outbreak during this
Declared National Emergency. CES has implemented every
day preventative actions, to include providing education on
protecting oneself from respiratory illness and coronavirus
symptoms following Centers of Disease Control, CDC,
guidelines along with local U.S. health authorizes. Effective
immediately, CES has made the following changes in an effort
to minimize the spread of COVID-19 through person-to-person
contact.
1. All employees, subcontractors and subconsultants are
to inform their CES Project Manager immediately if an
employee who has come in close contact with a CES
employee within the last fourteen (14) days:
a. is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms;
b. tests positive for COVID-19 or has been told by their
health care providers to presume that they have
COVID-19 or a member of the employee’s household
tests positive for COVID-19 or has been told by their
health care providers to presume that they have
COVID-19; or
c. has been exposed to an individual who exhibits
COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19,
or has been told by their health care providers to
presume that they have COVID-19.
2. A COVID-19 Health & Safety REQUIREMENTS flyer
is distributed to CES and City employees. This flyer
establishes the behavior and activities expected by all
project and field employees.
As part of CES’s efforts to protect personnel at project sites,
this information will be made available to the project team’s
employees. CES will make every effort to manage the risk of
this public health crisis and will coordinate and comply with
the City’s requirements.
Construction Site Safety
Construction site safety is typically the responsibility of
the Contractor. CES will ensure that a Health and Safety
Plan (HASP) has been developed and accepted, or is being
followed, for each construction project as warranted and that
everyone working on the site and all visitors follow the site
HASP. We will also require the Contractor to secure the site
every day before leaving to keep unwanted visitors away from
equipment and tools. In addition to the site’s HASP and based
on the current and future conditions and requirements related
to COVID-19, CES will monitor and enforce applicable social
distancing, use of PPE, and the guidelines and requirements
set forth by the CDC, State of Florida, Pinellas County and/
or the City of St. Petersburg that are in effect throughout the
course of the project’s construction.
CES will also develop and/or validate the Emergency Response
Plan (ERP), which will address responses to/from conditions
or events that would impact the site workers, the public or
the environment, specifically the City’s water supply and the
continuous operation of the wastewater collection system,
force mains and pump stations. The ERP will be kept onsite
and both CES and FMC will be responsible for its availability,
training and application if needed. The ERP will also be
referenced in the HASP and communicated during daily/
weekly site safety meetings.
CES takes safety very seriously—it is an absolute on every
construction related project. CES will identify or appoint a
Health and Safety Manager for each project, and he/she will
guide and participate in the development and presentation of
the HASP and ERP.
