E-24Proven solutionsResponsive and dependable performance
City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 20-07-01: Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA)
E.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)(2) YEAR COMPLETED
MDWASD Engineering, Design and Related Services for the Local Pump
Station Improvement Program, Miami-Dade County, FL
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
Ongoing Ongoing
(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE X Check if project performed with current firm
Project/Hydraulic Engineer providing inspection/evaluation, analysis and design of multiple sanitary sewer lift stations
ranging from 20 HP to 60 HP and associated force mains. Meeting the FEMA Base Flood Elevation for some of these
small locations while maintaining operations and maintenance protocols is a challenge. Under this contract, converted
several wet well/dry well systems into submersible stations, requiring significant structural design in order to reuse the
existing facilities. This effort is more cost effective than installing a new wet well. Additionally, our team looks carefully at
constructability in developing creative solutions that meet all of the client’s needs while maximizing construction dollars.
Below are some of the pump stations awarded as task orders to CES under this contract: Design of Pump Stations No. 673,
No. 063, No. 659 No. 639 & Generator Replacement PS318, PS464 & PS475.
F.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)(2) YEAR COMPLETED
Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) Optimization and
Water Loss Recovery Program, Puerto Rico
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
2015
(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm
Hydraulic Engineer/Modeler for the evaluation and optimization of various operational issues on potable water pumping
systems to reduce non-revenue water, service intermittency, system pressure inadequacy, repairs on pump station
equipment and mains, power consumption, etc. Hydraulic modeling and balance of water distribution systems to reduce
water and energy losses. Several pump stations have shut-down or reduced capacity, decreasing energy utilization, water
production, and maintenance of infrastructure. Engineering analyses to modify water distribution systems and eliminate
filtration plants and deep wells.
G.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)(2) YEAR COMPLETED
PRASA Water Quality Compliance Program, Puerto Rico PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
2015
(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm
Hydraulic Engineer/Modeler for drinking water quality analysis/modeling to reduce water age and formation of disinfection
by-products (DBPs) to conform to EPA rules and regulations. Modeling of complete service area, including 10 pump stations,
tanks, and several water mains and hydraulic control devices up to 16” in diameter.
H.
(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State)(2) YEAR COMPLETED
Candelero Abajo Sanitary Sewer System, Humacao, Puerto Rico PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If applicable)
2010 2011
(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm
Civil Engineer for the design, permitting, and construction administration of three municipal wastewater lift stations and
related gravity sewer (approx. 3-mile long) and force mains (approx. 2-mile long). The lift stations were sized between 0.3
and 0.6 MGD, with heads up to 350 feet. Total construction cost was $7M.
STANDARD FORM 330 (REV. 8/2016) PAGE 2
