BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Terracon performed a limited, interior asbestos survey at the designated areas in the structure located at 1001 N. America <br />Way in Miami within the Port of Miami. The survey was performed to assess potential hazardous materials to accommodate <br />the planned future development activities at the facility. <br />Building components were surveyed and homogeneous areas of suspect asbestos -containing materials (ACM) were <br />visually identified and documented. Suspect ACM samples were collected in general accordance with the sampling <br />protocols outlined in EPA regulation 40 CFR 763 (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act, AHERA). Asbestos samples <br />were delivered to an accredited laboratory for analysis.
