BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS <br />CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Langan has been providing engineering consulting services to <br />the City of Homestead as part of a Continuing Professional <br />Services contract awarded in 2004. We have performed Phase <br />I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, geotechnical <br />engineering studies, and earthwork inspection and construction <br />materials testing services.. <br />Mr. Yarina performed Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site <br />Assessments (ESA) for the City of Homestead as part of an <br />on-going Continuing Professional Services contract. The <br />Phase I ESA identified some potential environmental concerns associated with both on-site and off-site recognized <br />environmental conditions. A limited Phase II ESA was performed to evaluate the potential impact to the site from these <br />conditions. <br />Mr. Ortiz performed a subsurface investigation in order to provide the City design recommendations for the foundations to <br />be used to support the new proposed City Hall structure in the downtown area of Homestead. In addition, percolation <br />tests were performed in order to provide the civil engineer with the percolation rates for design of the stormwater system. <br />In addition, earthwork inspection and construction materials testing services have been provided for the construction of <br />the James Archer Smith Park in Homestead. The earthwork testing services have been performed by Langan personnel <br />and the construction materials testing have been performed by a subcontracted materials testing firm. All work has been <br />coordinated by the Langan Project Manager. <br />Langan is currently providing geotechnical, environmental, and asbestos services for the Intermodal Transportation <br />Center in Downtown Homestead. <br />25.
