(PDS) currently serves as Prime Consulting Firm for Miami-Dade <br />Transit (MDT). MDT is the 14th largest public transit system in the USA, and the largest transit agency in <br />the state of Florida. MDT operates a transportation system which consists of four major components: the <br />Metrobus, connecting most areas of Miami-Dade County; Metrorail, an electrically-powered, elevated, <br />rapid-transit heavy rail system stretching 24.6 miles; Metromover, a 4.4-mile elevated people mover that <br />serves the downtown cen tral business district of Miami; Special Transportation Service (STS), designed <br />to meet the needs of people with disabilities. Overall, MDT moves over 353,000 daily. PDS is the prime <br />consultant on this multi-year contract for Continuous Professional A/E Services for Federally Funded <br />Projects, to develop transit facilities funded through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The scope <br />of work includes but is not limited to: technical and operation planning, transit studies, environmental <br />impact statements, permitting, surveying, fire/life/safety consulting, cost estimating, structural, <br />geotechnical, industrial, electrical, systems and mechanical engineering, architecture, tr ansit and <br />transportation planning in accordance with FTA requirements, design criteria, support negotiation of full <br />funding grant agreements, plan & specification reviews, design of new transit facilities, construction <br />engineering and inspections, value engineering, project cost estimates and traffic studies. <br />Premiere Design Solution’s Completed or Ongoing Work Orders Under this Contract Include: <br /> SW 344 Street Park-and-Ride Special Inspections – Includes the periodic inspections during construction <br />of this 266 space parking lot adjacent to the Busway, with concrete shelters, continuous concret e canopies <br />and transit lounge. Inspections include masonry, steel, and concrete reinforcing steel. <br /> SR 836 Express Bus Service Planning Support and Catex Update – Includes the Traffic Impact Analysis, <br />prepare conceptual alternatives for terminal site and access characteristics, analyze intersections of the <br />proposed SR 836 Express Bus Routes for queue jumps or TSP, Catex Update for FTA <br /> Contracts & Procurement Support Services – Included Buy America Interpretation Analysis; An internal <br />audit to procurement files & technical and administrative support. <br /> Existing Lease Management & Transit Oriented Development Support Services – Provide staff support <br />services to manage leases on transit properties & transit-oriented developments. <br /> Central Bus Garage Roofing Repairs and Bathroom Renovations – Condition Assessment, Design and <br />Construction Support services for roofing and Bathroom improvements. <br /> Independent Peer Review for Pedestrian Overpass – 100% Plans Peer Review of a Steel Pedestrian <br />Bridge over US-1 at University Metrorail Station. <br /> MDT Bus Service Standards and Design Guidelines – Includes the analysis of service standards at other <br />agencies, and the development of MDT’s own design standards. <br />Miami-Dade Transit <br />Continuous Services for Federally Funded Projects <br />Miami-Dade County, Florida <br /> <br />143
