(PDS) served as the Topographic Surveyor and Engineering Consulting <br />firm for this project which included the field data collection, topographic survey, scope determination and <br />the generation of Demolition, New Construction, Pedestrian Crossing, Pavement Marking and Signage <br />and Maintenance of Traffic Plans. <br />Civil design included the design of pedestrian facility improvements such as concrete landing pads, <br />concrete shelter foundations, concrete sidewalk reconstruction, new ADA compliant pedestrian ramps, <br />new pedestrian crossing with solar rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) per FDOT standards, striped <br />pedestrian crossing, and work around schools. Project also included electrical drawings for the electrical <br />grounding of the proposed shelters and structural design of the shelter foundation. Project provided the <br />client with the design for ADA sidewalk improvements to 11 locations, new bus shelters, concrete pads, <br />sidewalks and amenities. Project included the coordination with the Town of Miami Lakes, Miami-Dade <br />Transit, and Miami-Dade Public Works as well as the underground utility investigations and permitting. <br />Project was federally funded and had strict budgetary constraints, especially in timing, since the project <br />had to be completed before the end of fiscal year.
