Florida. The Transit Infrastructure & Shelter Improvement at Bus Stops is a multi-year project consisting of
improving transit facilities throughout Broward County. This project was subdivided into ADA Improvements at Bus
Stops, Bus Shelter Expansion Program, Bus Bay Enhancements and Transit Terminal Improvements. For work
improvements performed at bus stops, the scope of work included providing an ADA accessible route for areas
surrounding and leading to the location of the bus stops not limited to the addition of appropriately sloped concrete
sidewalks, inclusion of FDOT approved curb ramps, relocation of obstructing amenities (e.g. trash cans, benches,
etc.), landing pads, inclusion of curbing for protection of landing pads and addition of amenities for the public. At
bus stops where shelters were provided, the scope included the selection of the most efficient placement of the
structure, maintaining a practical and safe approach while supplementing the ADA guidelines. For these work
orders our scope included performing Field Data Collection and Scope Determination, Topographic and ROW
gutter, sidewalk restoration, sidewalk transitions, and amenities such as benches, trashcans and solar panels. This
project required the coordination between the design team consisting of civil engineers, structural engineers,
electrical engineers and a surveying team. To ensure the best possible product, this project closely followed a strict
