Maintenance of Traffic General Civil Engineering YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 40 Years EXPERIENCE SUMMARY Mr. Rivera is an industrial engineer with over 40 years of experience specializing in industrial safety programs that enforce safety codes in order to reduce the risks of accidents. As a lead safety engineer Mr. Rivera had to familiarize himself with civil engineering practices and enforce safety standards to contractors that performed work at several coalmines were he led the safety programs. Mr. Rivera joined PDS as an engineer in 2008 and has been the office CAD Manager since then, operating AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016. He is responsible for maintaining our CAD standards and ensuring that every project that is ready to be delivered meets those standards. Mr. Rivera also provides engineering design support to our team and survey drafting standards and controls. KEY EXPERIENCE Medley Fire rescue Facility Survey, Medley, Miami-Dade County, FL This project was to replace the perimeter fence after the existing fence was damaged by recent storm events. The project site was an existing and Active Fire rescue Facility, of about 6.4 Acres, owned and maintained by Miami-Dade County. Mr. Rivera assisted in the field data collection of this project, and responsible for CAD production of the survey drawings. Survey included all visible relevant topographic features along the proposed site boundary, physical boundary demarcations, legal description, marking property corners, existing property lines and assisted in the research of easements and collection plat information as available in Miami-Dade County Records ADA and Transit Improvements, Broward County, FL. The ADA Improvements project is a multi-year project consisting of designing Transit Improvements throughout Broward County that are to be compliant with ADA guidelines and regulations. One of the main objectives of the program is to provide ADA accessibility to thousands of bus stops within the County. The project includes surveying, engineering design for improvements such as landing pads, shelter pads, curb & gutter, sidewalk restoration, sidewalk transitions, etc. Mr. Rivera’s duties and responsibilities include the preparation of engineering design drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. B Bus Bay Improvements (Broward Blvd. & NW 116th Ave.), FL Mr. Rivera was the CAD technician responsible for assisting in the engineering drawings preparation for the removal of existing bus bay, roadside design of approximately 600 ft of roadway to accommodate a 10 ft unpaved shoulder, wet detention areas and pedestrian sidewalks. Responsibilities also included the preparation of utility plans to depict existing utilities within the area. Citywide CIP Water & Sewer Improvement Surveys, City of Opa-Locka, FL This project includes the topographic route surveys for over 200,000 LF of roadway to receive water and sewer improvements as part of the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) throughout the City of Opa-Locka. Mr. Rivera assisted in field data collection as survey crew member, and later on the drafting of collected data and the production of survey drawings, representing all ROW data, property information, above ground features, manholes and elevations. New Parking Facility, Dania Beach Scrap Metals, Dania Beach, FL Mr. Rivera was the CAD Designer for the new parking facility and assisted in the production of paving, grading and drainage plans for approvals with the City and governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the project site location. We coordinated with the City’s planning and zoning division the approval of the site plan. 206
