As a lead safety engineer Mr. Rivera had to <br />familiarize himself with civil engineering practices and enforce safety standards <br />to contractors that performed work at several coalmines were he led the safety <br />programs. Mr. Rivera joined PDS as an engineer in 2008 and has been the <br />office CAD Manager since then, operating AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016. He is <br />responsible for maintaining our CAD standards and ensuring that every project <br />that is ready to be delivered meets those standards. Mr. Rivera also provides <br />engineering design support to our team and survey drafting standards and <br />controls. <br /> <br />KEY EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />Medley Fire rescue Facility Survey, Medley, Miami-Dade County, FL <br />This project was to replace the perimeter fence after the existing fence was <br />damaged by recent storm events. The project site was an existing and Active <br />Fire rescue Facility, of about 6.4 Acres, owned and maintained by Miami-Dade <br />County. Mr. Rivera assisted in the field data collection of this project, and <br />responsible for CAD production of the survey drawings. Survey included all <br />visible relevant topographic features along the proposed site boundary, physical <br />boundary demarcations, legal description, marking property corners, existing <br />property lines and assisted in the research of easements and collection plat <br />information as available in Miami-Dade County Records <br /> <br />ADA and Transit Improvements, Broward County, FL. <br />The ADA Improvements project is a multi-year project consisting of designing <br />Transit Improvements throughout Broward County that are to be compliant <br />with ADA guidelines and regulations. One of the main objectives of the <br />program is to provide ADA accessibility to thousands of bus stops within the <br />County. The project includes surveying, engineering design for improvements <br />such as landing pads, shelter pads, curb & gutter, sidewalk restoration, <br />sidewalk transitions, etc. Mr. Rivera’s duties and responsibilities include the <br />preparation of engineering design drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. <br /> <br /> B Bus Bay Improvements (Broward Blvd. & NW 116th Ave.), FL <br />Mr. Rivera was the CAD technician responsible for assisting in the engineering <br />drawings preparation for the removal of existing bus bay, roadside design of <br />approximately 600 ft of roadway to accommodate a 10 ft unpaved shoulder, <br />wet detention areas and pedestrian sidewalks. Responsibilities also included <br />the preparation of utility plans to depict existing utilities within the area. <br /> <br />Citywide CIP Water & Sewer Improvement Surveys, City of Opa-Locka, FL <br />This project includes the topographic route surveys for over 200,000 LF of <br />roadway to receive water and sewer improvements as part of the Capital <br />Improvements Program (CIP) throughout the City of Opa-Locka. Mr. Rivera <br />assisted in field data collection as survey crew member, and later on the drafting <br />of collected data and the production of survey drawings, representing all ROW <br />data, property information, above ground features, manholes and elevations. <br /> <br />New Parking Facility, Dania Beach Scrap Metals, Dania Beach, FL <br />Mr. Rivera was the CAD Designer for the new parking facility and assisted in <br />the production of paving, grading and drainage plans for approvals with the <br />City and governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the project site <br />location. We coordinated with the City’s planning and zoning division the <br />approval of the site plan. <br />206
