<br />Premiere Design Solutions, Inc. (PDS) currently serves as the Prime Consulting Firm for Miami-Dade Transit
<br />(MDT). MDT is the 14th largest public transit system in the USA, and the largest transit agency in the state of
<br />Florida. MDT operates a transportation system which consists of four major components: the Metrobus fleet,
<br />connecting most areas of Miami-Dade County; Metrorail, an electrically-powered, elevated, rapid-transit heavy rail
<br />system stretching 24.6 miles; Metromover, a 4.4-mile elevated people mover that serves the downtown central
<br />business district of Miami; Special Transportation Service (STS), designed to meet the needs of people with
<br />disabilities unable to use regular transit services. Overall, MDT moves over 353,000 daily (weekday) boardings
<br />on Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover and STS combined.
<br />PDS is the prime consultant on this multi-year contract for Continuous Professional Services for Federally Funded
<br />Projects, to develop transit facilities funded through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The scope of work
<br />includes but is not limited to: technical and operation planning, transit studies, environmental impact statements,
<br />permitting, surveying, fire/life/safety consulting, cost estimating, structural, geotechnical, industrial, electrical,
<br />systems and mechanical engineering, architecture, transit and transportation planning in accordance with FTA
<br />requirements, design criteria, support negotiation of full funding grant agreements, plan & specification reviews,
<br />design of new transit facilities, construction engineering and inspections, value engineering, project cost estimates
<br />and traffic studies.

<br />•Construction Contracts & Procurement Support Services – Included Buy America Interpretation for
<br />Construction Contracts; An internal audit to procurement files to ensure FTA requirements are being met; &
<br />Change Order Drafting support services in compliance with FTA.
<br />•Existing Lease Management & Transit Oriented Development Support Services – Support to ROW Division to
<br />Manage leases on existing transit properties and support to new private transit oriented developments.
<br />•Independent Peer Review for Pedestrian Overpass – Design Review of a Steel Pedestrian Bridge over US-1 at University
<br />Metrorail Station.
<br />•Central Bus Garage Roofing Repairs and Bathroom Renovations – Condition Assessment, Design and Construction
<br />Support services for roofing and Bathroom improvements
<br />•SR 836 Express Planning Support – Planning services for the update of the Categorical Exclusion document, traffic
<br />analysis for the impact associated with the new terminal at FIU and Intersection analysis for the implementation of Traffic
<br />Signal Priority and Queue Jumps.
<br />•Bus Service and Design Standards – Planning support for the development of MDT Bus Service standards, creating
<br />service classes, and the development of Design drawings for MDT standard stops and facilities. Project also includes the
<br />generation of a series of Transit maps in GIS system.
<br />•Park and Ride at SW 344 Street and the Busway – Performed periodic inspection, construction management and Special
<br />inspector as required by the City of Florida City.
