BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The FDOT Bus Shelter project is a project consisting of providing ADA compliant Bus Shelters and Transit <br />Improvements to 73 locations throughout the cities of Wilton Manors, Oakland Park and Pompano Beach, all <br />located in Broward County, FL while ensuring the conditions of the existing and proposed bus stops to be <br />compliant with ADA guidelines and regulations. <br />Premiere Design Solutions, Inc. (PDS) was the prime Planner and Designer in this 2.5 Million Design Build <br />Project. The project scope included planning, civil, structural and electrical engineering design for the bus <br />shelters to be installed at the current locations, as well as improvements at bus stops such as landing pads, curb <br />& gutter, drainage improvements, utility coordination, sidewalk restoration, sidewalk transitions, and amenities <br />such as benches, trash cans, solar panels, etc. PDS was also responsible for all utility coordination for this project <br />and coordinated the design team consisting of civil engineers, structural engineers, electrical engineers and a <br />surveying team. Duties included scheduling, permitting and quality control review prior to submittal, meeting with <br />governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the project site location to discuss permitting requirements and <br />issues. Project also included topographic surveys and As-Bults of completed improvements. <br />64
