Project also included the drafting and preparation of legal description and sketches for the <br />dedication of land and aerial easements for the new structures in private property. Mr. Fernandez was tasked with the topographic surveys which required the completion of five separated Specific <br />Purpose Surveys with a very aggressive schedule. Each location included all visible relevant topographic features along the <br />proposed site area, Right-Of-Way research and preparation, plat research and the submittal drawing was required to follow <br />standards provided by the Client, including layers, line weights, colors, symbols, etc, as required by Miami-Dade County. Mr. <br />Fernandez led the field crew in the data collection and was responsible for the generation of survey drawing deliverables <br />d. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />City-Wide Roadway Topographic Surveys for CIP Projects, City of <br />Opa-Locka, FL <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />2015 <br />CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) <br />N/A <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ X ] Check if project performed with current firm <br />Mr. Fernandez was the Chief Surveyor in this project to conduct City-wide surveys on 200,000 LF of roadways as part of the <br />CIP program to improve water and sewer infrastructure and provide additional stormwater management, with a very <br />aggressive completion schedule. This project has been performed by Mr. Fernandez with the latest GPS equipment and data <br />collectors, coordinating field crews and office drafting work to meet the very demanding client schedule of completion. <br />Surveys include ROW to ROW above ground features, drainage and wastewater structure information, drainage and sewer <br />structure information, delineation of plats and generating survey drawings. <br />e. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Biscayne Landing Engineering and Surveying Support, North <br />Miami, FL <br />(2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />2015 <br />CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) <br />2020 <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ X ] Check if project performed with current firm <br />Mr. Fernandez is the Survey Crew Party Chief in this project to provide development support to the Owner. Project included <br />the determination of volume of crushed concrete material stockpiled at the Biscayne Landings construction site and volume of <br />lakes to be filled. Mr. Fernandez coordinated survey crews to obtain horizontal and vertical data of the location and elevation <br />of the stockpiled material and lake soundings. With the information of the points collected in the field utilizing cross sections <br />no longer than 25’, information was migrated into AutoCAD Civil 3D to generate a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) with the <br />information collected from the field, generating surfaces for the existing ground and for the surface area of each of the five <br />stock pile mounds located at the construction site. The DTM was used to determine the volume between the two surfaces, <br />and to generate cross sections of the stock piles at constant intervals. Volume calculation plans and reports were created with <br />plan view, cross sections and volume calculation data. <br />72
