Field geotechnical <br />exploration services included: standard <br />penetration test (SPT) soil borings; <br />Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT); <br />pavement cores; and field exfiltration <br />tests. Laboratory test services include: <br />sieve analysis; Atterberg Limits; organic <br />content; pH; chloride; sulfate; resistivity; <br />LBR, and rock characteristic tests such <br />as compressive and split tensile tests. <br />In addition, Universal is providing <br />construction materials testing laboratory <br />services for both the surface roadway <br />and MSE construction, but also concrete <br />compressive strength testing for the pre- <br />cast concrete segmental sections being <br />used in the tunnel construction. <br />Sunset Harbor Parking Garage <br />City of Miami Beach, Florida <br />As part of our continuing contract with <br />the City of Miami Beach, Peter served <br />as Project Manager for the construction <br />materials testing services for this new <br />mixed-use project. The building consists <br />of 29,350 SF of ground floor retail and <br />141,000 SF of parking on 4 levels above <br />grade, accommodating a total of 435 <br />parking spaces. The building has been <br />designed following the criteria for energy <br />efficient, sustainable design as set forth by <br />the United States Green Building Council. <br />Testing services included pile load test <br />and installation monitoring, concrete <br />testing, and welding inspection. <br />Wal-Mart Supercenters <br />Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade <br />Counties, Florida <br />Peter has served as Senior Engineer on <br />twenty completed Supercenter and/ <br />or Neighborhood Market projects and <br />continues to serve on current projects, <br />which consist of concrete masonry <br />buildings approximately 220,000 square <br />foot in size with associated paved areas <br />and roadway improvements. Geotechnical <br />engineering services included soil <br />boring explorations, soil classifications, <br />engineering analysis for foundation <br />design, site preparation, groundwater <br />control, and pavement design. <br />Peter G.
