Cost: $250,000 Construction cost is estimated at $2.5 million. 1995 2000 Hickory Point Recreational Facilities Tavares, Florida Landscape Architect. The project consisted of the site design of a waterfront park that included marinas, boat ramps, wetland educational boardwalks, environmental signage, fishing stations and a communal pavilion. Cost: $220, 000.00. Construction cost estimated at $2.5 million 1992 1996 Deering estate at Old Cutler Palmetto Bay, Florida Historical restoration and landscape design to repair the damaged areas of the estate following Hurricane Andrews devastation of the property, including detailed archeological planting design, habitat restoration and planting design for a new visitors’ facility. Cost: $28,000.00. Construction cost estimated at $2.8 million. 2003 2008 Miami Beach - North Beach Oceanside Park Miami Beach, Florida Landscape Architect of Record, oversaw the programming and design of the project site, conducting the necessary public outreach to gather Commission approval and coordinating important aesthetic and sustainable improvements with engineering needs of the project. CGA was responsible for the conceptual design of all material selections and palette, retaining walls, fences, lighting, branding elements, and planting. Ms. Cook-Weedon provided assistant by overseeing the permitting process, addressed value engineering issues and provided shop drawing reviews. Cost: $840,000.00 Construction cost estimated at $11.5 million. 2016 - 2020 2020 Delray Beach Fire Rescue Headquarters Plaza Delray Beach, Florida Senior Landscape Architect. Designing and permitting improvements to pedestrian at the SE corner of the Fire Rescues Headquarters Building for the City of Delray Beach and the CRA. Project includes on the creation of a pedestrian plaza which will feature public art. A detention area will be resized to accommodate the plaza requiring the creation of retaining and seat wall to replace the lost water quality volume. Ms. Cook-Weedon provided assistant during the project construction. She addressed shop drawing reviews, RFI’s and provided frequent site visits to address issues with the contractor.
