RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR <br />Continuing Professional Consulting Engineering Services-Environmental Engineering <br />#BID 20-07-01 <br /> <br />3 <br />Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). He has conducted Phase I ESAs and HUD Transaction Screen <br />Process in accordance with the ASTM 1527 and 1528 Practices, as well as those of major national lending <br />institutions. <br /> <br />• Mr. Timothy Lentz, PG, LAC, is a Professional Geologist (PG) and Licensed Asbestos Consultant (LAC) with over <br />28 years of experience in the environmental consulting field. Mr. Lentz will serve as your environmental <br />geologist. He has supported the oil field services and construction industry in the Williston Basin (Bakken oil fields) <br />of northwestern, North Dakota. Duties include permitting, preparing safety programs, environmental <br />management, storm water management and numerous related tasks. In addition, Mr. Lentz was involved in the <br />prospecting, development, and operations of numerous sand and gravel deposits (mines) during his project. Mr. <br />Lentz has experience involving the management of Real Estate Due Diligence Assessments (Phase I and Phase II <br />ESAs); Asbestos Surveys, Storage Tank System Closure Assessments, Landfill Ass essment, Remediation and <br />Material Management, Contamination and Site Assessments (including characterization and delineation of soil and <br />groundwater impacts), design and implementation of source removal activities, free product recovery, soil <br />excavation and disposal, wastewater discharge permitting, hazardous waste facility compliance audits, emergency <br />spill response actions, and the preparation of Source Removal, TCAR, SAR, MOP reports, and other associated <br />regulatory agency submittals. Mr. Lentz has managed hundreds of assessment related projects across the <br />southeast United States and throughout the Caribbean, which involved impacts from petroleum hydrocarbons, <br />chlorinated solvents, metals, pesticides, PCBs, and other regulated wastes. <br /> <br />Quality Control / Senior Technical Advisor / IAQ and IH Licensed Professional / Health and Safety: <br /> Alex Mavrelis, CIH, CSP – will serve as your Quality Control / Senior Technical Advisor and the Project Lead for <br />the Industrial Hygiene (IH) / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Services. Mr. Mavrelis, Senior Industrial Hygienist and <br />Indoor Air Quality Division Manager has been accredited as a Certified Industrial Hygienist by the American Board <br />of Industrial Hygiene, a Certified Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, is an NRPP <br />Certified Radon Measurement Provider, and an AHERA -trained Asbestos Building Inspector, Management Planner, <br />Project Designer, Air Monitoring Specialist, and NIOSH 582 PLM Microscopist. Mr. Mavrelis has over 14 years of <br />experience in environmental consulting for government agencies, commercial developers, and large commercial <br />and multifamily residential property management companies. His broad spectrum of experience in environmental <br />risks and hazards relating to building sciences and health and safety has enabled him to work both as a private <br />consultant and internally in the multifamily residential industry developing corporate protocols, operating <br />procedures, and training programs for the property management industry. <br /> <br /> Sean C. Nemser, PE - will serve as your Professional Environmental Engineer. Mr. Nemser has over 7 years of <br />experience working with large clients through all stages of the project, including initial client contact, drafting <br />proposals, overseeing and participating in air sampling and other site visit activities, and preparing final reports. <br />He works with public commercial and residential buildings. Asbestos surveys, data collection, final clearances and <br />contractor supervision. Working closely with the client when necessary. He has experience in performing noise <br />dosimetry and light intensity measurements as well as air flow calculations for the American correctional <br />association (ACA) certifications. <br />PERMITTING <br />GBTS has experienced staff who can hit the ground running to ass ist the City with the permitting requirements and <br />plan preparation, permit expediting, and providing regulatory agency liaison services. We maintain a multi -disciplinary <br />professional staff which consists of individuals with degrees in Geology, Hydrogeology , Environmental Science, Biology, <br />Chemistry, Ecology, Industrial Hygiene, and various Engineering fields. GBTS has licensed Professional Geologists, and, <br />Professional Engineers on staff to provide the services needed by the City.
