TSF provided Auger-Cast Pile Inspection and Construction Material Testing Services for the Samson Oceanfront Park located in the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The project consists of a compact beach park with a playground, pavilion and showers. TSF services included laboratory testing and grout sampling/testing and reporting. Sampling and Laboratory Testing included testing compressive grout cylinders. TSF technicians performed flow cone testing on grout; and molded compressive strength test grout cylinders. A TSF Certified Technician observed Auger-Cast Pile Inspections. A TSF Senior Engineer provided review of daily reports, handled project coordination and attended meetings as necessary.
Completed on time and within budget in 2016

Mast Arms at NE 42nd Street, Miami, Florida. TSF provided Geotechnical Engineering Services for NE 42nd Street in Miami, Florida. The project consists of traffic signal mast arms and drainage design for a crossover for the subject intersection at Federal Highway. TSF’s geotechnical field study included SPT borings and down hole field permeability testing; visually classified and stratified the samples in the laboratory using the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS); obtained soil samples from the field and performed laboratory testing for standard corrosion parameters for mast arms, including pH, sulfates, chlorides and resistivity. Provided a geotechnical engineering report including geotechnical evaluations and recommendations regarding traffic signal mast arms. Completed on
time and within budget in 2018 SR-997 (Krome Avenue) from SR-94/Kendall Drive to SR-90/SW 8 Street, Miami-Dade County,
Florida. TSF provided geotechnical engineering services for the project which consists of the realignment of Krome Avenue from SR 94 (Kendall Drive) to SR 90 (Tamiami Trail) in Miami, Florida. The project is approximately 5 miles long. The improvements include the realignment of the existing roadway. Field work included auger borings and muck probes. Reviewed readily available published topographic and soils information obtained from the “Soil Survey of Miami-Dade County, Florida” published by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS). Performed visual inspection of soil samples and laboratory testing to establish the soil properties along the roadway alignment. Utilities, including a 30-inch force main and water main, which were to remain in place, were factored into geotechnical recommendations and proposed options. Geotechnical recommendations included the discussion of various options such as surcharge, reinforced soil platform, geo-synthetic, demucking and soil mixing. TSF also provided geotechnical recommendations involving permanent cut/fill slopes, excavations, groundwater control, pavement design, and on-site soil suitability. Additionally, TSF provided construction support services including evaluation of surcharge settlement. Completed on time and within
budget in 2019 SW 42nd Street (Bird Road Extension) Roadway Widening, Miami-Dade County, Florida. TSF provided Geotechnical Engineering Services for the widening of SW 42nd Street (Bird Road Extension) from SW 162nd Ave to SW 15th Ave, in the Kendall West portion of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The roadway limits are approximately 3,100 lineal feet in length. Reviewed readily available published topographic and soils information obtained from the “Soil Survey of Miami-Dade County, Florida,” published by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) and USGS Maps. Geotechnical field exploration included SPT Test Borings, BHP Tests, and Asphalt Cores and Base Checks.
