The project consists of the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over State Road No. 826 Westbound. The purpose of this study was to explore the subsurface conditions within or in close proximity to the pedestrian bridge to enable an evaluation of foundations for the construction. TSF’s geotechnical field study included SPT borings. Provided a geotechnical engineering report including geotechnical evaluations and recommendations regarding foundation, bridge, pile monitoring and construction considerations regarding excavations Completed on time Within budget

<br />2017 CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Dr. Manoharan was the Senior Specialist of the Geotechnical Engineering Services for the realignment of Krome Avenue from SR 94 (Kendall Drive) to SR 90 (Tamiami Trail) in Miami, Florida and is approximately 5 miles long. The improvements included the realignment of the existing roadway. Utilities, including a 30-inch force main and water main, which were to remain in place, were factored into geotechnical recommendations and proposed options. Geotechnical recommendations included the discussion of surcharge, reinforced soil platform, geo-synthetic, demucking and soil mixing. TSF also provided geotechnical recommendations involving permanent cut/fill slopes, excavations, groundwater control, pavement design, and on-site soil suitability. Completed on time Within budget

The study was performed to obtain information on the existing subsurface conditions to assist in the design of construction plans for the proposed improvements.

<br />CONSTRUCTION (If applicable) (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm Dr. Manoharan was the Senior Specialist for the geotechnical engineering study for the design and construction of Segments A&B of the I-75 Express Lanes Project which extend from just north of NW 170th St. in Miami-Dade County at MP 3.485 to approx. 2,400 ft. south of Miramar Pkwy in Broward County at MP 1.080, for 3.1 miles. The project also includes reconstruction, widening, and milling and resurfacing of the HEFT mainline from 1.45 miles south to 1.13 miles north of I-75 to accommodate the Express Lanes Median to Median Direct Connect between I-75 and the HEFT, as well as other interchange ramp connections.
