The project consists of 2.5 miles of roadway reconstruction of Northlake Boulevard from East of Hall Blvd. to Coconut Blvd. The purpose of this study was to provide geotechnical input to the design team to assist in the design and construction of the roadway reconstruction. The study was performed to obtain information on the existing subsurface conditions along the project alignment to assist in the design and preparation of construction plans for the proposed construction. Reviewed readily available published topographic and soils information obtained from the “Soil Survey of Palm Beach County, Florida," published by the USDA NRCS, and USGS Maps. Performed a geotechnical exploration along the project corridor, which included roadway soil borings, pond borings and Borehole Permeability Tests. Classified soil samples using the AASHTO Soil Classification System. Performed laboratory testing to establish soil properties. The laboratory testing included grain size analysis, moisture content and organic content determination, Atterberg limit tests, and corrosion tests. Prepared a roadway soil survey report which included geotechnical engineering evaluations and recommendations regarding Permanent Cut and Fill Slopes; Excavations; Groundwater Control; Pavement Design Considerations; On-Site Soil Suitability and Vibration and Settlement Monitoring and Pre & Post Construction Survey.
Completed on time and within budget in 2018 Haverhill Road from Lantana Road to S of LWDD L-14 Canal and from S. of LWDD L-14 Canal to
Lake Worth Road, Palm Beach County, Florida: TSF provided QA/QC testing services for the roadway construction of Haverhill Road from Lantana Road to S of LWDD L-14 Canal and from S. of LWDD L-14 Canal to Lake Worth Road. TSF technicians performed verification testing on soils for embankment, drainage, subgrade, and base; molding compressive strength concrete cylinders for bridge widening including bents, decks, columns, and drilled shafts; providing pile driving inspection for bridge; drilled shaft inspection for mast arms; and will perform paving inspections. TSF performed PDA testing for pile length recommendations and driving criteria letter; and is providing Pre-cast plant inspections per 450 FDOT specifications. Completed on time and within budget in
2017 Mast Arms at Vista Parkway North and Jog Road, West Palm Beach, Florida: TSF provided Geotechnical Engineering Services for the project which included traffic signal mast arms at Vista Parkway North and Jog Road in West Palm Beach, Florida. The purpose of this study was to provide geotechnical input to the design team to assist in the foundation design. The study was performed to explore the subsurface conditions at the structure locations and provide geotechnical recommendations to guide the design. Performed a geotechnical field study that included SPT borings. Visually classified and stratified the samples in the laboratory using the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Provided a geotechnical engineering report which summarized the field and laboratory data generated, the subsurface conditions encountered and provided geotechnical recommendations for foundation design. Completed on time and within budget in
2016

82
