<br />For your consideration, Craig A. Smith & Associates, Inc. (CAS) is pleased to submit this proposal in response to your
<br />Request for Qualifications for the Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA) RFQ 20-07-01 .
<br />Executive Summary
<br />CAS is a 40-year established Civil/Utility Engineering, Utility Locating, Surveying, and Construction Management firm
<br />headquartered in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida with a branch office in both Broward County and Miami-Dade
<br />County. CAS overall has 40+ dedicated staff members consisting of registered professional engineers, registered
<br />professional surveyors, GIS specialists including technical CADD drafting personnel, certified field inspectors, utility
<br />locators, as well as exceptional administrative, clerical and accounting personnel, to provide the City with the expertise
<br />required to perform duties requested for engineering services, including survey, utility locates, design, engineering reports,
<br />utility modelling, permitting, bidding assistance, construction management through project close-out, grant
<br />preparation/administration and any other consulting engineering services as needed to assist the City in completing projects
<br />under this multi-year contract. CAS understands the scope of work requested by the City and has extensive experience in
<br />performing such duties. CAS is submitting proposal documents for the following categories as listed in the RFQ: 2. Civil
<br />Engineers, 3. Electrical Engineers, 4. Surveyors & Mapping, 7. Geotechnical Services, 8. Structural Engineering
<br />Services, 9. Environmental Engineering, and 10. Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services. CAS
<br />specializes in serving South Florida municipal governments and understands the needs of coastal communities such as the
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach. We are a client-oriented firm and our emphasis is on providing exemplary service. CAS has
<br />been providing professional engineering services for stormwater system and roadway improvements to the City
<br />of Sunny Isles Beach since 2013 and commits to continue to provide our technical, professional and financial
<br />resources to the city.
<br />Understanding Scope of Work
<br />CAS understands the proposed scope of work. The type of capital improvement projects/assignments under this contract
<br />for the categories mentioned above include but are not limited to: general consultation, feasibility studies, engineering
<br />reports, monitoring/mitigation, planning, design, permitting, bidding assistance, and construction adm inistration and
<br />inspection services, on-site representation, roadway improvements, sidewalks, bridge reh abilitation/inspec tion, seawalls,
<br />structural components of buildings, stormwater/drainage system, water distribution, wastewater conveyance and collection
<br />system, lift/pump station rehabilitation, shoreline retreat prediction/mitigation, grant funding assistance/ad ministration and
<br />other municipal facility services and improvements as specified in the RFQ. The CAS Team is experienced in the design
<br />and rehabilitation of numerous similar utility and infrastructure projects in the City and the in Tri-County area at large. We
<br />highly value the City of Sunny Isles Beach as a client and look forward to continuing to serve the City with the utmost quality,
<br />cost effectiveness and expeditious service. The CAS Team's extensive knowledge and project experience will continue to

<br />Firm's Current Workload
<br />CAS is currently reaching completion on many projects and is available to accept new projects. Please refer to the project
<br />list showing workload with percentage of completion in Section E4 -Workload and Staff Availabi lity. The CAS
<br />Manage ment Team will assign responsibilities to survey crews, utility locating crews, staff engineers, sub consultants and
<br />construction management and supporting staff as needed. All staff members involved in the project will be provided with
<br />the proper, resources, equipment and tools to perform the assign work. CAS ensures that it maintains adequate staff to
