APPROACH AND UNDERSTANDING
SRS Engineering, Inc.’s (SRS) will be successful in
meeting the City’s objectives of providing quality for
individual project designs and project programming
decisions. Our experience with similar projects and
our dedication to quality engineering will assure the
City receives a successful project.
SRS’s approach is to provide the City with a level of
service expected of a quality firm. Our services
should produce designs that are not only feasible,
also economical, and functional. Our obligation to
the City is to represent its best interest during each
stage of a project whether it is in the due diligence,
design stages, or the construction phase of a project.
We strive to deliver innovative engineering solutions and outstanding customer service. Since
our inception in 1995, SRS has been dedicated to building an outstanding team of engineers and
professional staff whose technical expertise and client relations skills are among the best in the
industry. SRS’ engineers and professional staff are supported by state-of the-art technology,
consisting of proprietary software programs that the company has developed to provide
customers with groundbreaking solutions. Deadlines and cost controls are managed with the
same precision that we apply to the solution of engineering problems which gives us a strong
competitive advantage in our operations.
In addition to our focusing on excellence in design and service, our firm is guided by principals
who understand that for the firm to succeed it must have satisfied clients. As a result, SRS’s
success is largely due to the principals’ strong commitment to its clients and the quality of our
work. The Principal at SRS is involved in every aspect of the project. Project management and
contract performance is personally directed by our principal who is thoroughly experienced and a
licensed professional engineer. This approach results in a very hands-on, personalized service
to every client with ease of communication and top talent on every assignment. The efforts of
SRS’ principal is complemented by experienced project engineers and talented professional staff
that are adept at understanding the clients’ needs and will work hard to deliver the results that
the City requires.
Our Design Philosophy in the preparation of civil construction documents is to provide the City
not only with what is necessary from a design and permitting standpoint, yet also to provide the
City with a set of documents which will allow the successful bidder to construct the project
efficiently and with minimal changes in the scope of work. Our Project Manager shall integrate
and have a detailed understanding of the multiple key factors to be considered during the course
of design, including a sound understanding of the City’s project criteria and goals, regulatory
agencies’ regulations and requirements, a sensitivity to project costs, and constructability of the
design. The Project Manager is likewise expected to work closely with the City and all regulatory
agencies to ensure all appropriate approvals are granted prior to commencement of construction.
During construction, the Project Manager will have a detailed understanding of the field conditions
and challenges faced by the Contractor. He will be able to convey specific elements of the design
and overall project to the Contractor throughout the construction phase in order to ensure the
successful completion of the project.
6
