BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Ground thruthing topographic information for LiDAR verification, recovery and establishment of survey <br />control on the project area and the existing conditions survey of various structures, proposed access <br />and/or proposed embankments within the project limits, as supplemental data to support the project <br />development and augment previous surveys performed by others. <br />Work was divided in five main tasks, and other supplementary activities outlined as subtasks: <br />1. Survey Base: <br />a. AutoCAD Civil 3D (C3D) survey with current rectified aerial photo background imagery. <br />b. Establish 2,800-acre project area lines from District-furnished boundary survey. <br />c. Incorporate District-furnished LIDAR data into survey. <br />d. Incorporate additional topographic and hydrographic survey data. <br />e. Develop Civil 3D TIN Surface of existing ground. <br />f. Create civil 3D existing ground contour lines at one-foot (1’) intervals for some specific areas. <br />2. Survey of Existing Features <br />a. Establish survey control marks datum relationship (NAVD to NGVD) <br />b.Existing improvements were located within the FEB project boundary. <br />3. Topographic Survey <br />a. LIDAR Elevation Comparison <br />b. Soil Borings and Piezometer Locations <br />4. Hydrographic Survey-Cross Sections <br />As the prime land surveying consultant, the firm was in charge of managing the project and complying <br />with deliverables. The total cost of these tasks was over $207,000. <br />25.
