Calderon, P.E., PTOE, PTP as Principal and Project Manager at CALTRAN, <br />will be the central coordinator for all the activities related to The City of Sunny Isles. Under his management, there will <br />be continuous communication with the City of Sunny Isles Project Manager and will be available to meet with the City’s <br />Board and the project‐Stakeholders at their request or to perform presentations without over-extending the budget. <br /> <br />CALTRAN considers that an essential element is to maintain direct lines of communication that will allow sharing ideas, <br />experience, and use of technology, as well as, providing high quality services to the City of Sunny Isles, CALTRAN <br />will develop schedules, organize subgroups for additional tasks, and track all progress in various work orders that will <br />enhance the efficiency in fund allocations. <br /> <br />Management of Tasks Financial oversight of each PO/TWO is a critical factor in the management of this contract. <br />Ensuring that funds on every PO/TWO are managed and monitored in conjunction with the design or construction time <br />remaining on each assignment is paramount to projects being completed. Each PO/TWO will be treated as an <br />independent mini-contract. We have the tools and proven pro-active management approach to monitor the burning <br />rate for each PO/TWO, cost and schedule controls with Contract Management Team that takes ownership and <br />accountability. <br /> <br />Scheduling : CALTRAN is committed to provide the City of Sunny Isles with a high-quality project by meeting <br />the City’s schedule and budget requirements, as well as, assign the most qualified and dependable staff to <br />carry out the work required under this project. CALTRAN understands that a schedule is intended not only <br />for the consultant, but also for the City of Sunny Isles to coordinate their resources for reviewing submittals <br />and for reporting to other members. CALTRAN values the importance of meeting milestone dates, review <br />dates, and final submittal dates. <br /> <br />Cost Control: It is our policy to provide the most of value engineering concepts through cost-effectiveness <br />for the conditions given. CALTRAN has demonstrated these capabilities on previous projects of this type. <br />Cost control is provided through a custom accounting system software (below sample), which tracks project <br />costs and provides project performance and billing information. CALTRAN’s Project Manager uses this <br />accounting information and project status system to track performance on a regular basis. <br /> <br />COVID-19 Safety is a top ongoing priority for CALTRAN either by ensuring safety “on the office, <br />during field inspections, or within work zones”. COVID-19 presents an additional safety <br />challenge that could negatively impact both the construction work-zone and the work- place. <br />We understand the need to implement safety measures and social distancing practices and <br />mitigating any impact on quality or schedule. Given the nature of our services, we have always <br />been equipped with technology for “work on the go” or working remotely. Whether it’s in an <br />office setting, at home, in a truck or in the field, our staff have the necessary equipment to <br />continue business as usual while ensuring the safety of all involved. CALTRAN utilize all <br />current remote applications (i.e. Microsoft Teams and GoTo Meetings, FTP) that allow real time <br />interaction. We understand the importance of effectively utilizing these tools to aid in the timely <br />completion of all PO/TWOs on this contract. Our staff will also follow the CDC guidelines to <br />ensure their safety and the safety of those around. Other critical aspects that are part of this type of <br />contract are as follows: <br /> <br /> • Quality Assurance/ Quality Control: The QA/QC procedure requires the preparation of <br />schemes prior to initiating work; specifies procedures for QC review of data, calculations, and <br />documents; and establishes a mechanism for tracking, documenting, auditing, and evaluating <br />our performance in adhering to and carrying out the procedure. For all work assigned under <br />The City of Sunny Isles Scope of work, we will apply our QA/QC plan in order to maximize our <br />efficiency and effectiveness on all project assignments. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
