We have successfully completed hundreds of
CEI projects for the FDOT and Florida municipalities ranging from $2 million to upwards of $500 million in
construction value.
Our CEI culture is to take ownership of a project, be a catalyst for solutions, and exercise good professional
judgment making decisions and keeping the project moving; we are comfortable using the “Engineering”
in CEI. We embrace Contractor Engagement and Partnering as critical to success. We have a clear history of
partnering and being a catalyst to the construction process which can be evidenced on past projects by our
contractors achieving incentives, completing projects on time and on budget and having virtually no claims.
SR 821 Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT) Widening from SW 288 St to SW 216 St, Miami, FL,
Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE)
Reference: Karen Akers, PE, 954.934.1178, Karen.Akers@dot.state.fl.us
Mile Post 64, Pampano Beach Services Plaza, Pompano Beach, FL 33069
Construction Cost: $70M
11/2015 to 2/2020
Eisman & Russo provided Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) services for this $70M
Design Build widening project along the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike that included
8 miles of noise wall installations, median widening of 7 miles of roadway to accommodate addi-
tional capacity, roadway realignment, drainage and stormwater management system construction,
two bridge widenings, new roadway construction, and milling an resurfacing.
