(L)) to acquire information related to, or designed to facilitate the performance of <br />regular assigned duties; and to facilitate performance of any task or project in a manner <br />approved by the employee's manager <br />An employee's use of the Internet access, provided by the Company, expressly prohibits the <br />following: <br />(a) Use of the Internet for non -business related purposes (including but not limited to, <br />making personal travel arrangements, shopping, visiting chat rooms, accessing home e- <br />mail messages, "surfing the net") during an employee's regular work time. Use of the <br />Internet for non -business related purposes may be permitted if such use is reasonable, <br />done during lunch or non -working time and does not interfere with an employee's work <br />performance. <br />(b) Dissemination or printing of copyrighted materials (including articles and software) in <br />violation of copyright laws. <br />(c) Sending, receiving, printing or otherwise disseminating proprietary data or <br />confidential information. <br />(d) Accessing, sending, receiving, storing or soliciting offensive or harassing statements <br />or language including disparagement of others based on their race, national origin, sex, <br />sexual orientation, age, disability, religious or political beliefs. <br />(e) Sending, receiving, viewing, storing or soliciting discriminatory, sexually oriented <br />messages or images. <br />(f) Operating a business, usurping business opportunities or soliciting money for personal <br />gain, or searching for jobs outside the Company. <br />(g) Sending chain letters, gambling or engaging in other activity in violation of local, <br />state or federal law. <br />Employees who violate this policy will be subject to discipline up to and including termination. <br />Nothing in this policy is intended in any way to interfere with, coerce, or restrain any employee <br />from exercising his or her rights under any State or Federal labor law, including the National <br />Labor Relations Act. <br />20. USE AND RETURN OF COMPANY PROPERTY <br />All company workspace, including file cabinets are the property of the Company and must be <br />available to Management at all times. No Company property may be used to house personal <br />files or items. No Company equipment, including computers, photocopiers or printers may be <br />used for personal use, without obtaining permission from Management. <br />All tangible property as well as all recorded business data and records, proprietary <br />and/or <br />confidential information, trade secrets, and all other documents (or copies thereof), equipment, <br />computer software and hardware (including network cards), components, the like, and all other <br />tangible items embodying or recording any business information or intellectual property that are <br />in the employee's possession, custody and control whether or not developed by employee <br />during employee's employment with Company or otherwise, belong to the Company.
