Responsibilities: <br />The safety committee shall determine the schedule for evaluating the effectiveness of control measures <br />used to protect employees from safety and health hazards in the workplace. <br />The safety committee will be responsible for assisting management in the following functions: <br />■ Reviewing workplace safety rules <br />■ Evaluating employee accident and illness prevention programs <br />■ Providing and monitoring workplace safety education and training <br />■ Review status of accidents occurred <br />■ Safety supplies request &inventory <br />The safety program will be updated by evaluating employee accident injury records, establishing trends <br />and patterns, and formulating corrective measures to prevent recurrence. <br />Safety committee members will. participate in safety training and monitor workplace safety education and <br />training to ensure that the safety program is being followed and pertinent information is being <br />documented. <br />Meetings: <br />Safety committee meetings will be held quarterly or more often if needed. The safety committee <br />coordinator will submit to the President the minutes of each meeting within one day after each meeting. <br />V. CONDUCT VIOLATIONS <br />Rules of conduct are necessary for a safe and efficient operation, and are for your benefit. The following <br />conduct and safety related violations by an employee can result in disciplinary action up to and including <br />termination. These conduct violations are not to be considered all inclusive and may be changed from <br />time to time. <br />1. Using alcohol or drugs at any time during the work period. <br />2. Removing or disengaging a safety device in any vehicle, machinery or equipment. <br />3. Driving, operating or riding in Company vehicles or equipment without the pertinent <br />authorization. <br />4. Using vehicles and equipment for non -Company related tasks. <br />5. Not using safety belts at any and all times in Company vehicles and equipment. <br />6. Incorrectly picking up any object or not asking for help to pick up more than 50 pounds. <br />7. Not using personal protective equipment and devices required for the work being done such as <br />hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc... <br />8. Riding on the bed of any vehicle in motion. <br />9. Riding on equipment not designed to transport personnel. <br />10. Standing under loads that are being hoisted. <br />11. Participating in an activity for which the worker has not been authorized to do. <br />12. Asking others to do a job when conditions do not guarantee the safety of the personnel. <br />
