When work is to be done far from the area where the group is located, preferably do it with at
least two other employees.
13. One of your assignments is to hold tool box safety meetings with all your employees. Be the
teacher at the weekly safety meetings. At the end of the day, return the sheet signed by all the
participating employees to your office.
14. We expect each supervisor and manager to have a good relationship with his/her employees,
but it is also important to maintain your position of responsibility and authority in order to
ensure correct discipline, and functioning of your group.
b.) SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES:
1. No one is allowed to assign a task to a co-worker that endangers his/her life or health. If this is
done then it is correct for the worker to bring to the attention of his/her supervisor the danger
related to the task.
2. Obey the instructions of your supervisor or manager.
3. When you do a job, wherever it may be, use the Company safety vest and cap. When the job
requires it, use safety goggles and gloves, as well as any other means of protection necessary.
4. Eat healthy. Keep your body hydrated. Drink a lot of water.
5. Keep your arms and body appropriately covered.
6. Use correctly laced boots.
7. Use tools that are in good condition. Report any defective tools, and if you think an injury
might occur by using a damaged or defective tool, do not use it, put a mark on it and set it
aside, and turn it in to your supervisor.
8. All defective tools must be marked and removed from the worksite so that no other employee
will use them.
9. Do not repair wooden handles of any tools.
10. Make sure that tools with an edge are correctly sharpened. An unsharpened tool of this type
could cause an accident.
11. Do not leave shovels and rakes lying "face up."
12. Do not carry shovels, picks or rakes slung over your shoulder.
13. When you pick something up use your legs bent slightly at the knees and not your back.
14. Immediately report any accident you may have had, no matter how small, to your immediate
supervisor.
15. Report any unsafe condition you may detect at the worksite or in a vehicle or equipment to
your supervisor.
16.
