Management will follow safety standards and procedures that will make sure their employees
are protected.
2. Management must collaborate in enforcing safety standards and procedures wherever they are.
Your position is important and you must be an example for everyone. With your good
example, you are at all times contributing to maintaining discipline, the seriousness, and the
quality that characterize the Company. An environment of discipline, respect and seriousness
contributes to a safe workplace.
3. We all must follow safety rules and procedures in the workplace.
VII. TECHNIQUES
a.) COMMUNICATION PROGRAM REGARDING DANGEROUS CONDITIONS
Before beginning a new project the management in charge must decide if any danger exists that
may expose the employees, this will include analyzing the possibility of the presence of
hazardous materials due to other companies that may be working on the same Project.
This analysis of dangerous conditions is not only done with respect to chemicals, but also
regarding any other type of danger, as for example, work near lakes or canals, on slopes, and where
there may be a possibility of falling objects, etc. When the existence of a hazard is identified, before
beginning work, a training meeting will be held with the employees who might be exposed to such
hazards. The meeting will be recorded, and is to be signed by all who attend.
Before asking an employee to work with chemicals or other potentially dangerous substances that
might affect his health, the employee must first be trained to handle such products. Literature
and MSDS Labels regarding dangerous products can be requested or reviewed at the office.
Employees who apply pesticides must be appropriately trained and qualified. All other employees
either working in areas connecting with treated areas or who may be scheduled to work in these
areas in the future, must know what procedures to follow, in accordance with the specifications
regarding the "restricted period" established by the product manufacturer.
The law requires that all persons engaged in applying, handling or transporting pesticides must be
appropriately trained.
